Critical thinking, trained by AI

The AI that argues with you.

Every other AI is built to agree with you, persuade you, or answer for you. ThinkFirst is a sparring partner for teenagers. It challenges their reasoning, plays the scammer in safe simulations, and trains the one skill AI can't replace: knowing when not to believe what you're told.

Why the world needs this right now

Teenagers are entering an information environment that is almost entirely AI-mediated: algorithmic feeds, AI-targeted offers, synthetic content, chatbots owned by companies with something to sell. Two things are happening to them at once: they're the softest targets of AI-scale manipulation, and they're quietly outsourcing their thinking to tools built to answer, not to teach.

ThinkFirst flips the relationship. Instead of an AI that does your thinking, it's an AI that makes you do the thinking, and it gets sharper about your weak spots the more you spar with it.

Nobody's business model wants a person who is harder to fool. That's why this is a nonprofit.

Two ways to train

01 · SPAR MODE

Bring a claim. Defend it.

A viral video's pitch, a "guaranteed returns" DM, a chatbot's confident answer. ThinkFirst won't tell you if it's true. It challenges your reasoning, makes you find the incentive behind the message, and only concedes when your argument actually holds.

02 · SIMULATOR MODE

Face the scammer. Safely.

The AI plays the adversary in a safe, clearly labeled sandbox: the scammer, the predatory pitch, the too-confident chatbot. Afterward, a debrief scores exactly which tactics were used on you, which you caught, and which got past you.

It trains on the real thing

The scams targeting teenagers change weekly. Textbooks can't keep up. A network can. Students submit the pitches hitting their DMs; each one is anonymized, reviewed by a human, and becomes a sparring scenario for students everywhere. ThinkFirst gets sharper with every scam sent at a kid.

Built for classrooms first

ThinkFirst is incubated by FinMango, a 501(c)(3) that has taught financial health to over 100,000 students. Our first arena is the money trap, the place manipulation bites teens hardest, beta-tested live in FinMango's network of 27 partner high schools and colleges starting fall 2026. Teachers get the rare AI tool that refuses to do their students' thinking for them. ThinkFirst will spin out as an independent tech nonprofit.

Where this goes

Now · Prove

The sparring gym, live.

Money traps first, the arena where manipulation bites teens hardest. Beta in 27 partner schools this fall, with every session scored, so the beta doubles as the efficacy study.

Next · Deepen

An opponent that knows you.

ThinkFirst remembers each student's weak spots (on their device, not our servers) and trains them deliberately. Then students switch sides and play the scammer: the fastest known way to learn the moves.

Then · Widen

New arenas, same engine.

Misinformation, synthetic content, romance scams, over-trusting AI itself. And the submission flywheel becomes a public good: an annual report of what's actually targeting teens, sourced by teens.

Eventually · Flip

Teens become the defenders.

Trained students run simulations on their own families, grandparents included. And the same engine, licensed to workplaces, keeps every classroom free.
